How to Play Planet Smash

Missiles, nukes, black holes. Destroy beautiful planets. 16 weapons, 6 planets.

▶ Play Planet Smash free

Planet Smash is a destruction sandbox. A planet spins in front of you with 8 billion people on it, and your only job is to wipe it out with a scrolling bar of 16 weapons. Missiles, meteor showers, a railgun, a freeze beam, a black hole and a UFO tractor beam each chew the surface differently, and the damage bar at the top shows how close the planet is to breaking apart.

It runs in the browser on phones and desktops, with six planets to cycle through: Terra, Ares, Glacius, Vulkan, Jovia and Selene. Each has its own texture and atmosphere, so a laser on an ice world looks different from the same laser on lava. There is no timer, no lives and no wrong way to play, which makes it a good two-minute stress-relief break.

Controls

How to play, step by step

  1. Open the game: the planet shows its name, 8.0B population and a Destruction bar at 0%.
  2. Pick a weapon; the hint text above the bar says whether it is tap, hold or drag.
  3. Start with Missile taps, then switch to Laser and sweep across the surface.
  4. Use Nuke or Black Hole for area damage once cracks have spread.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a score or leaderboard in Planet Smash?

No. Each run records time to destruction, strike count and your most used weapon. The reward for a kill is a flat 25 coins added to your Super King wallet.

How do I unlock the Death Ray?

Tap the Death Ray button in the weapon bar and confirm. It costs 150 coins earned from any Super King game. Antimatter is a second locked weapon with a higher price.

Why does my hold weapon stop firing?

Hold weapons only fire while your finger or mouse is pressed on the planet. A planet that has already died also ignores every weapon until you reset or pick a new planet.

Can I choose which planet to play?

Planets rotate in a fixed order each time you press New Planet after a kill. Your position in that order is saved, so reopening the game returns you to the same planet.
