How to Play Knife Hit
Throw knives into the spinning target. Do not clash. Boss targets await.
Knife Hit is a timing game. A target spins in the middle of the screen, you tap to fling a knife into it from below, and each knife stays stuck where it landed and spins with the wheel. Throw the required number of knives without hitting one already there and the level is cleared. Land on a stuck knife and it clangs off, ending the run.
This version gives the wheels a desi flavour, rotating through a tawa, a cricket ball and a wooden log, with a dhol as the boss every fifth level. Apples add coins when sliced, spin patterns change with the level, and a shop of knives each carries a real perk, from wider apple slicing to surviving one clang per level. One tap on phones, Space on desktop.
Controls
- Touch: tap anywhere to throw the next knife.
- Desktop: Space or Up arrow throws.
- The side counter shows knives left this level.
- Knives and Perks opens the shop; tap a knife to equip it.
How to play, step by step
- Tap Throw It; level 1 is a slow steady wheel with five knives and one apple.
- Tap when the bottom of the wheel shows a clear gap.
- Each stuck knife becomes an obstacle, so space your throws around the wheel.
- Slice apples for coins, throw all knives to clear, and watch for reversing or pulsing spin from level 3.
- Every fifth level is a boss dhol with more knives and obstacles; beat it for 50 coins.
Rules and scoring
- Landing within a small arc of a stuck knife clangs and ends the run.
- Knives per level rise from 5 to 11; bosses need 9 to 12 and spin faster in reverse.
- Consecutive clean throws build a combo with coin bonuses at 5, 10, 15, 25, 40, 60 and 100.
- Level clear pays 20 plus 2 per level up to 60; the daily target level pays 120 once.
- One continue per run: Revive item, ad or 250 coins.
Tips to score higher
- Throw on a rhythm; a steady wheel passes the same gap every rotation.
- Place the first two knives opposite each other for the widest safe gaps.
- On sine wheels wait for the slow phase at the end of each swing.
- After a reversal throw at once, not just before one.
- Skip an apple sitting next to a stuck knife; apples give coins, not progress.
- Buy Chef first (500 coins, best level 5): tighter gaps saves the most runs.
Modes and challenges
- Endless levels with a boss every fifth level and a saved best.
- Daily target: reach a level between 8 and 15 for 120 coins.
- Knife shop: Steel, Kirpan, Chef, Cleaver and Sona, each with a perk.
Frequently asked questions
How close can knives be without clanging?
The engine uses a minimum gap of about 0.3 radians, roughly 17 degrees, between knife handles; landing inside that arc is a clang. The Chef knife's Precision perk shrinks the gap by about a fifth.
What is the boss level?
Every level divisible by five is a boss dhol. It needs 9 to 12 knives, spins faster in reverse, starts with five or more obstacle knives, and carries three apples. Clearing it pays a 50 coin bonus.
Do combos carry over between levels?
Yes. The combo counts every knife thrown without a clang across levels and pays coin bonuses at each milestone. A clang, even one absorbed by a revive, resets it.
Can I keep my level after a clang?
Once per run you can continue from the same level with a Revive item, a rewarded ad or 250 coins. A second clang in the same run ends it.
