How to Play 2048 Super
Join the tiles, reach 2048. Earn coins on wins.
2048 Super is the sliding-tile puzzle on a 4x4 grid. Every move pushes all tiles in one direction, and two tiles with the same number that collide merge into one tile of double value. A new 2 (or occasionally a 4) appears after every move. Your goal is to build a 2048 tile before the board fills up and no moves remain.
This version adds a daily board that is identical for every player, so today's leaderboard is a fair race, plus a coin economy: 200 coins the first time you reach 2048 in a run, small consolation bonuses based on your best tile, undo tokens, and a revive that clears the smallest tiles when you get stuck. Merges of three or more tiles in one move show a combo toast.
Controls
- Touch: swipe up, down, left or right on the board.
- Desktop: arrow keys, or W, A, S, D.
- Undo reverts the last move using an Undo item or a rewarded ad.
- New Game starts a random board; Daily loads today's seeded board.
- After game over: Continue with a Revive item, an ad, or 250 coins.
How to play, step by step
- Tap New Game or Daily.
- Swipe; all tiles slide and matching neighbours merge once per move.
- Keep your biggest tile in a corner with descending values beside it.
- Avoid moves that pull the big tile out of the corner.
- Reach 2048 for 200 coins, then KEEP GOING for a higher score.
- Out of moves? Continue or TRY AGAIN, and check TODAY'S TOP.
Rules and scoring
- Two equal tiles merge into their sum; a merged tile cannot merge again in the same move.
- A new tile spawns after each move: 2 (90 percent) or 4 (10 percent).
- Score rises by the value of every merged tile. Game over when no moves remain.
- First 2048 in a run: +200 coins. Consolation at game over: 30 coins for a 512 tile or better, 15 for 256, else 5.
- Revive once per run removes up to four smallest tiles; cost is one item, an ad, or 250 coins.
- Daily mode uses the date as its seed, so every player gets identical spawns.
Tips to score higher
- Pick one corner and use only three directions; the fourth is for emergencies.
- Keep the corner row full so a forced fourth-direction swipe cannot move your big tile.
- Build a snake of descending values along the edge so merges cascade.
- Set up multi-merges: three or more in one move clears space fast.
- Save Undo for a spawn that lands in your corner slot.
- The daily board spawns identically each attempt, so a plan that works can be repeated to raise your daily best.
Modes and challenges
- Random game: a new board every time, standard 4x4 rules.
- Daily board: same seed for all players today, with a daily best score saved and a TODAY'S TOP 10 leaderboard.
- Keep Going: continue past 2048 in any game to chase a higher score and bigger tiles.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep playing after 2048?
Yes, tap KEEP GOING. The 200 coin milestone pays once per run, but the score keeps climbing.
How does Undo work?
The last move is snapshotted. Undo restores it if you hold an Undo item; otherwise a rewarded ad is offered.
What does Revive do?
It removes up to four of your lowest tiles and reopens the board, once per run.
Why is the daily board the same as my friend's?
Daily mode seeds its randomness with the date, so starting tiles and every spawn match for everyone.
