How to Play Dhyaan Focus
Schulte grid, odd-one-out and rule switching. Sharpen your attention.
Dhyaan Focus is an attention trainer built from three classic exercises. Focus Grid is a Schulte table: scattered numbers you tap in order from 1. Odd One Out shows a grid of tiles in one colour with a single tile of a slightly different shade to find. Rule Switch shows a target and two options and asks you to match by colour or shape, with the rule flipping without warning.
A workout is six stages: a 4x4 grid, an odd-one-out round, a rule switch set, then a harder 5x5 grid, a bigger odd-one-out with finer shades, and a longer switch set. Daily Workout uses the same seed for everyone, Quick Focus is random. Stages are scored on time and mistakes, the total is your Focus Score, and a slow-moving Brain Score tracks your form.
Controls
- Focus Grid: tap numbers in ascending order, 1 to 16 or 1 to 25.
- Odd One Out: tap the single tile with a different shade.
- Rule Switch: read the Match Colour or Match Shape banner, then tap the matching option.
- Every stage has a time bar; when it empties the stage ends with points earned.
How to play, step by step
- Choose Daily Workout or Quick Focus; stage 1 of 6 loads.
- Focus Grid: find and tap 1, then 2, and so on; wrong taps count against you.
- Odd One Out: spot the lighter or darker tile; the difference shrinks each round.
- Rule Switch: check the banner before every tap because it flips without warning.
- Stages 4 to 6 repeat at higher difficulty, then Workout Done shows Focus Score, Brain Score and coins.
Rules and scoring
- Score falls with elapsed time and each wrong tap, with per-stage floors of 20, 15 and 10.
- The reveal hint in Odd One Out reduces that stage's score.
- Rule Switch flips the rule on roughly 38% to 46% of trials.
- Brain Score is 65% of the previous value plus 35% of today's session.
- Coins are paid per finished workout, doublable once by ad; the streak needs consecutive days.
Tips to score higher
- Fix your eyes on the grid centre and use peripheral vision to find the next number.
- Say the next number silently before looking so you do not tap 8 for 9.
- Slightly unfocus your eyes and the odd tile pops out of the grid.
- Tilt the phone away from glare; reflections hide tiny shade differences.
- Read the rule banner every time; a streak of colour rules predicts nothing.
- Do not spam Rule Switch; a wrong answer costs more than a short pause.
Modes and challenges
- Daily Workout: six stages seeded from the date, identical for everyone.
- Quick Focus: same structure, random seed, any time.
- Brain Score with trend line, day streak and coin rewards.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Focus Score and Brain Score?
Focus Score is today's six-stage total. Brain Score is a rolling average blending 65% of your previous Brain Score with 35% of the new session, so it reflects form over many days.
How does the reveal hint work?
In Odd One Out, if you are stuck for a while a Stuck? Reveal it button appears and highlights the odd tile, but that stage's score is reduced. The other exercises have no hint.
Can I skip a stage I dislike?
No. The workout is a fixed sequence of six stages. If the time bar runs out the stage ends automatically with the points earned and the next one begins.
Is the daily workout the same as my friend's?
Yes. The Daily Workout uses a seed built from the date, so the number layouts, odd tiles and rule flips are identical for everyone that day. Quick Focus is random.
