How to Play Super Football
Penalty shootout. Aim, power, score, then dive and save. Best of 5.
Super Football has two games in one. The Penalty Shootout is a best-of-5 duel: you aim and power a kick at a goal split into six zones, then swap to the gloves and tap where you will dive as the CPU shoots. The Match mode is a 4v4 arcade game with two 90-second halves where you drag to run, pass, play through balls and shoot.
It is made for short mobile sessions but has real depth. The shootout engine models off-target misses on over-hit shots, keepers who reach adjacent zones on soft kicks, and corner shots that can beat a keeper even when he guesses right. Wins build a streak bonus and unlock new ball skins.
Controls
- Shootout kick: drag on the goal to pick a zone; dragging further from the penalty spot raises power.
- Release to shoot. The aim guide shows the selected zone and the power ring while you drag.
- Shootout save: tap the zone of the goal where you want to dive before the CPU strikes.
- Match: drag on the pitch to run with the active player; the nearest teammate to the ball is auto-selected.
- Match: tap PASS for a short pass, hold PASS for a through ball into space, tap SHOOT to fire at goal.
How to play, step by step
- Pick a difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard) and a stake: Free, 100 or 250 coins. A win pays double the stake.
- Choose Penalty Shootout or Play Match.
- Shootout: drag to a corner and pull hard for power, release, then tap a dive zone when it is your turn in goal.
- Five rounds each; if level after five, sudden death continues until someone misses.
- Match: control your team for two halves of 90 seconds; the CPU dribbles, shoots from range and defends smarter at higher difficulty.
Rules and scoring
- The goal is 3 zones wide and 2 high; the four corners are the hardest to save.
- Very high power (above roughly 85 percent) adds a chance to blaze the shot off target.
- If the keeper picks your zone, a powerful corner shot can still beat him; a soft central shot is almost always saved.
- A keeper diving to an adjacent zone can still reach the ball on soft shots, especially non-corner ones.
Tips to score higher
- Aim for the top corners with power around 70 to 80 percent; it beats the keeper even on a correct guess without risking the off-target penalty.
- Never shoot dead centre unless you are gambling on the keeper diving; centre shots are the easiest reach.
- In goal on Hard, the CPU picks corners about 70 percent of the time, so dive to a corner rather than staying central.
- On Easy the CPU kicker is inaccurate; a central or low dive catches many of its sprayed shots.
- In Match mode, hold PASS for a through ball only when a teammate is clearly ahead of you; it needs a forward runner.
- Shoot from the edge of the box in Match; long shots at 560 power beat the CPU keeper more often than dribbling in.
Modes and challenges
- Penalty Shootout: best of 5 with sudden death, three difficulties, optional coin stake.
- Play Match: 4v4 arcade football, two 90-second halves, same difficulty and stake options.
- Ball skins unlock by total wins and are chosen from the home screen.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my shot go wide?
Shots above about 85 percent power carry an off-target chance that grows with power. Pull back a little less on the drag and the ball stays on frame.
How is sudden death decided?
After five kicks each, if scores are level the shootout continues one kick at a time. The first round where one side scores and the other does not ends it.
What does the stake do?
Free plays for nothing. Staking 100 or 250 coins pays double back on a win and loses the stake on a defeat, separate from the streak bonus.
Is there online multiplayer?
No. Both modes are against the CPU.
